Focus - Overview

Focus is a company that I actually invented just to have a client in my mind to work with. This case study was my first experience as UX designer, where I was able to apply the fundamentals of UX. The result was the creation of the FocusMind app.

Understanding the challenge

The Focus Company has an app called FocusMind. It is an application equal to several existing applications for which you add tasks that you want to do, or appointments that you have, set up the time you want to do, and add reminders for it to be remembering as tasks that you need to perform.

The company started to have feedback from users suggesting:

  • FocusMind needs to have possibility to organize the user’s time in a different way.

User Research Methods

I chose to do some interviews to understand what the user really wanted. I also wanted to understand how they organize their times today.

Discovering the Pain Point

Gathering all the information collected in the interviews and organizing them in a coherent way I discovered our user's pain point.

  • Users need a flexible task management tool based on need, encouraging, and allowing them to focus on important tasks throughout the day so they can spend more time on activities they enjoy.

The Progress

I really like to see the progress of my drawings. In those sketches I can understand the steps of Greg Navigating the application. In also those sketches I can see the mistakes and successes when developing and improving. It is fun and interesting to see them.
